@pixeldev Probably not a big deal at the scale instances are at today, but using the primary database as a session store can cause significant contention issue. Again, probably not a concern today but it's not a great idea to recommend in production in the long run.
@pixelfed ah okay. I am running my own instance, I probably updated it on Wednesday 😅 I checked GH issues but didn't notice anything related but I admit my search was not comprehensive, and wanted to check with you first before opening a new one just in case. You saved me some embarrassment 😂 I'll update my instance. Thanks!
@pixelfed I've found that most of the time when I open the Chrome mobile "app" on my phone (Android 10), my instance often prompts me for a 2FA code (but not a password). Is this by design? I would normally expect to be asked once per device.
@trwnh @dansup sorry. I was just saying that the modal dialog confirming a new follow seemed really heavy. Typically this is indicated by changing the button on confirmation, e.g. 'Follow' changes to 'Following', and possibly the colour changes. If you want to be very explicit about it, at least making it a non-modal pop-up that goes away on its own would be less jarring. This doesn't really seem like an important enough activity to force a user to confirm.
One of my dogs' best friends posted a goodbye tribute to them and I am sobbing 😭
Blocked someone here for the first time 🙄 can't wait to delete this too.
