@jasong @sarahjeong @nolan This. Considering the garbage clogging Twitter and Facebook, I'd pretty much written off all social media as wretched hives of scum and villainy. There's a case to be made that the enjoyability of a space is (arguably) inversely proportional to the number of people involved.
Raises an interesting question of insularity vs. inclusivity. Small towns are stereotypically "friendlier", but whether they're friendly to you depends a lot on who you are.
