Lots of videos uploaded to peertube.social in the last days. Right now there is a 3 day backlog, so I'm upgrading the server.
Nope, not getting it to work, so I'm going with the backup from yesterday. But I changed some DNS stuff, so you'll have to wait until you get the DNS update.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I will ask the hosting provider what went wrong there.
Okay turns out if I restore the current backup (where the server was already down), it still works. I also saw something about "filesystem not writable" In the logs, so I suppose it might be a hardware error. So I'm pointing the domain to the new server and hope it keeps working.
Restored a backup from yesterday, server is working again. Data from the past 14 hours will be missing.
peertube.social is down, currently trying to figure out why.
I'm looking for someone who can help moderate my #peertube instance, https://peertube.social/. My idea right now is to make a Mastodon post with the requirements, and have people post their "applications". Then I'd pick the person with the most favourites (as long as they meet the requirements. Does that sound like a good idea?
Also, I would like to make an announcement in peertube, but I don't think there is any option for this. ping @Chocobozzz
