The launch-day experience hey.com is having with Apple is a great reminder of the risk you take betting everything on someone else's platform.

I don't know if hey.com is doing things that'd be impossible to do on the web, but I very much doubt it.

I feel for them, and continue to be frustrated with Apple.

But this is only true if your email service requires a native app.
