@oneguynick Are you sure: 'russian ownership'? The C2 is produced by a Turkish company (outside the EU but in Europe) and Jolla is a Finnish company.
look at wikipedia 'History'. Cite: In May 2024 the original Jolla company filed for bankruptcy, its business activities having been taken over in 2023 by the Jollyboys company established by Jolla's former management.

@gischpelino The phone is made in Turkey, but what I am referring to is the ownership transfer at the outbreak of the Ukraine War. It is now resolved, but I was very nervous during that time.

@oneguynick the Issue is that Sailfish is in fact not Open Source since their shiny UI remains proprietary.
