lb: A small nit, but whenever the DJs announce the band that played before that they pronounce it "CLOAK-uh" and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be "clo-AH-ca".

Bio nerds please confirm/deny my suspicions?

or perhaps more importantly, how does the band pronounce it? cloaca.bandcamp.com/album/hard

Vancouver people, any clue?

@pagrus Clo-ay-ca - Vancouverite who makes gross jokes.

@pagrus No, but I've never heard the word pronounced Cloaka or clo-ah-ka

@pagrus Correction - I asked my brother (his band has played with them before) and it's clo-ack-a

@pagrus afaik you’re right (clo AH kah or I’ve heard clo AYY kah).

@pagrus I don’t know the band but I’ve always said cloh-ay-cah? Maybe that’s just my American accent

@thesem hmmm your American accent and my American accent might differ on that point

@pagrus HMMM... well that is what I've heard it as? Maybe I'm just wrong! It is within the realm of possibility haha

@thesem Northern California accent is a thing apparently

@pagrus Is that yours or mine then? Mine is a jumbled mess...

@pagrus I am said bio-nerd lol and I do believe it is clo-AY-ca.

@Altruest Sweet, sounds like that’s the consensus. Thanks!
