@pallenberg The biggest fear I have: if moderate people stop using it only the extremist will stay. Then uninformed people could get the impression the public opinion is shifting right - very dangerous. Don't like this development at all. I hope it dies very soon!

@mgievers @pallenberg That thought process is what kept me hanging on for a year, but it just wasn't worth the toxic interactions I was exposed to. I believe it is too late to rescue xitter from drowning in it's own xit.

@pallenberg Mittlerweile habe ich auch mein Konto auf geschützt geschaltet und die Referenzen dazu bei anderen Profilen rausgenommen. Das Problem ist für mich momentan noch, dass ich auf Twitter nicht ganz verzichten kann, weil ich die Konten von Microsoft (und Mozilla) für @drwindows da noch verfolge. Microsoft ist für schnelle Nachrichten ja leider noch nicht umgezogen.

@mrxlix @pallenberg @drwindows Haben sie, die ist aber noch nicht allgemein zugänglich und könnte von Mozilla auch mal intensiver genutzt werden. Außerdem hilft das bei Microsoft nicht wirklich weiter. :D

@mrxlix @pallenberg @drwindows Nein, das nicht, aber ich kann mir halt auch eine schönere Umsetzung vorstellen. Privat plane ich nicht mehr mit Twitter und habe es soweit wie möglich runtergefahren. Wenn ich etwas poste, dann mittlerweile hier auf Mastodon. Aber für Microsoft wird das Konto auch weiter aktiv bleiben müssen, es sei denn, der Vogel raucht im nächsten Jahr wirklich ab oder Microsoft zieht mal Konsequenzen. Mal schaun.

@pallenberg Maybe but think less about corps and celebrities and more about artists and journalists who feel they simply cannot move. It might be dead but it's a quantum state of death, just depends where you observe it from.
