Wow! Check out this incredibly preserved fossil of a nodosaur, a kind of ankylosaur bearing long spikes on its shoulders.
Thanks to being swiftly buried in seafloor silt & mud, skin & minute, beautiful surface details of the dinosaur, rather than just the bones, were preserved. Traces of mineralised pigments even suggest reddish pigmentation of the skin.
