There are several opinions weather it's great what Julien Assange is doing or shit.
But he just asked for a decentralized twitter 'alternative'.
I've told him about the fediverse, #ssb and such.
Would you like to see Julien Assange joining the fediverse?
Many boosts could motivate him to join, as I will forward it to him.
Many favs, to better stay away.
@paulfree14 wait isn't Julian Assange a bit of a transphobic asshole?
@Concerned_Commy if, having a lot lgbtq* around might the perfect therapy for him :-p
@paulfree14 idk he seems like a bit of an asshoel tbh
@paulfree14 Why should he care about the opinion of a few mastonauts?
@LienRag he asked for federated network.
There are several. His desicion will be based on the technology but also how he would be welcomed.
If majority of ppl here would say, fuck off he might just choose another software.
@paulfree14 They are federated, aren't they?
So what importance is the software he uses?
(I know that the Fediverse doesn't connect with the Federation, but Hubzilla is working on that IIUC)
@paulfree14 this kind of poll is not fully functional since the upvote also propagates the toot to other people, while the downvote doesn't.
@elfio true result is biased. But still good enough to get an overview.
Also knowing that fav. have higher wight in this case
@paulfree14 anyone should deserve to join the fediverse, if they act like shit, they will be treated correspondingly in order to offend no one anymore...
@paulfree14 Doesn't using a boost for yes make a yes result more likely?
@stolas yes. It's a 'bit' biased. Meaning when viewing the fav/boost stats, fav needs to be multiplied with X.
@paulfree14 How does that work?
@paulfree14 Do you know that it's not well designed as boosts propagate and favourites don't? Not symmetric, not fair.
