Just dump this #Plutonium here. Nobody will noticed we did after 1 billion years.
A container full of #nuclear material stayed 'unckecked' for 26 years
Nuclear material container unchecked for 26 years at Oarai Research and Development Center (#Japan)
Workers now openend it and got contaminated.
Nuclear #energy is deadly , remember this when choosing your #electricity contracter.
(and it's used for building atomic weapons)

@clacke @paulfree14 What happens when you knock out a nuke is Fukushima.
@clacke The external power is required for the cooling, hence the huge diesel generators. Granted I spoke for emphasis but I keep seeing NATO people high-fiving each other and saying "there it goes!"
@clacke Thanks for reining me in, I was raised in Southern Appalachia farm country and there we use language in ways that get us in trouble, like for a large cottonmouth (four feet, say) we would say "that there snake wuz a mile long if it wuz a inch."
@risabee I remember being told of the danger of #nuclear #powerplants if someone throughs a #bomb on it then....
...and now reading #NATO is doing it by themselves.
Do you know if it overheats the powerplants? (thought that's the only dangar)
@paulfree14 Concern is backup power. If you cannot get the absorbing rods in place storage pools overheat, stripping coating from power rods, raising the water past boiling point. Then pool catches on fire.
Similarly, inside the reactor (but involving far fewer rods) can have hydrogen explosion, degrading rods, or "minor" criticalities. Does not result in large nuclear blast but can cause breach of containment vessel up to and including what is sometimes called China syndrome.
@paulfree14 Many things can and do happen. Think what a war crime it would be to make them happen on purpose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_nuclear_disasters_and_radioactive_incidents
@clacke what means LFTR?
