@fdroidorg how come when I look at "manage installed apps" I have loads that I haven't installed and no button to uninstall them?

@f-droid how come when I look at "manage installed apps" I have loads that I haven't installed and no button to uninstall them?

@Tutanota
Are you guys thinking of incorporating (in whatever way that can be done, not sure which ones they are) a (European) organisation such as Cryptpad.fr to accelerate your roadmap towards online office tools? Calendar, a drive with such fonctionnalités would be greatly appreciated. Thx

@kylerankin When you see cheap electronics, realize that often the hardware cost is subsidized by spyware agreements and selling user data.

Facebook "allowed Microsoft's Bing search engine to see the names of virtually all Facebook users' friends without consent, the records show, and gave Netflix and Spotify the ability to read Facebook users' private messages."

@Tutanota in fact, Mail doesn't seem to be indexing at all. Stuck at 1% for ages.

@Tutanota the date range for the email search function keeps resetting to from November 2018 to today. Any way to change this?

@Tutanota reaching size limit in my mailbox. So 2 questions
1) is there a way to sort emails in various folders by size?
2) what is a very rough time frame tutanota drive to avoid storing too much in email?

PS. Just to confirm: archived emails also count in the calculation of size of mailbox, right.

Thx

Surprise surprise 😱

"Google has been accused of breaking promises to patients, after the company announced it would be moving a healthcare-focused subsidiary, DeepMind Health, into the main arm of the organisation."

Reminder that patients did not even give consent to this data going to Google in the first place:

Google has no problem breaking privacy promises. They cannot be trusted.

@Tutanota how do I mark an email not spam. The same sender keeps ending in my spam box

@Tutanota
Hello again. Tonight I got plenty of that error message on my webclient. The email highlighted when I woke up the laptop and got the error messages were in French but the email addresses had no weird characters in them

@Tutanota I very often get an error when starting to key in names of contacts in the to field when writing a new email (or forwarding or replying). It does say what the error is but I cannot get any contact recommendations when I type a name. So I have remember the email I am sending to. This has been since the new app came out. Any precision for fix?

It reads like a joke: Now that net neutrality rules are abolished in the US, ISPs argue that access to the Internet is like a utility. They want benefits without regulations to protect consumers: arstechnica.com/tech-policy/20

At Tutanota we had to learn how important net neutrality is - for users as well as for online services: tutanota.com/blog/posts/comcas Let's keep on fighting for

Woohoo, our Tutanota app is coming to @fdroidorg Now it's only a matter of days, possibly hours. 😀 🎉 🍾
