I have literally NO IDEA how I'd survive without good music and the means to play it back with the needed kick to it.

I don't know if other people with depression experience this similarly, but for me, music is one of very few things that allow me access to my emotions, at least to some degree.

Without music, I'd be utterly lost and not able to cope at all.

What I'm saying here is 32+cm subwoofers are critical infrastructure and I won't let anyone tell me any different. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@phryk
music has enriched my life so much
it's impossible for me to think of living without it

singing and clapping if there is no other option (as many have done in oppressive situations at other times and in other places)

i think of it as a spiritual act:
(deep) listening
performing
rehearsing

all meditations of one type or another

@js0000 What I find especially interesting is that while all art can evoke an emotional response from me, music seems to do this way better than anything else.

And even when it's not specifically music, it's mostly movies or shows that use music effectively.

Poetry or purely visual art almost never does this for me.

@phryk Persian poetry with music connects me to the divine.
