You could use some follow friday posts for recommendations. That's automatable.

You could provide information on the structures and benefits of mastodon.
Or do a followfriday kinda thing with mastodon accounts on twitter, or just tweet some interesting mastodon accounts on there.
Could tweet about interesting new features of mastodon when they come out.
