Added second set of folding walls. Also changed the overall length from 5 to 8 meters, tho I'm not 100% clear on whether that's still within EU regulations.

This would give it a bit more than 50m² base area, or about 100m² usable area because of the obligatory roof terrace.

@Wolf480pl That's the plan. Real and industrially reproducible.

First specimen is supposed to be my next home. But it's not limited to homes – if all goes well, the second specimen will be a semi-mobile workshop.

Hopefully the humble beginnings of a FOSS/H industrial revolution. :P

@phryk let me guess, the side parts are 2.5m tall and 2.5m wide, the middle part is about 1.5m wide, total width is 6.5m, with length of 8m it's 52m^2 total

@Wolf480pl A bit more because each corner adds 10cm. and then there's an additional 4mm for every hinge that I'll probably want to eliminate…

Main room height is 2.5m high, battery compartment below it is 50cm high (including the corners) adding up to an overall height of 3m.

The height is actually the biggest problem I have with regulations because the maximum allowed overall vehicle height is 4m and for transport there'll be a low-end trailer blow the whole deal.

@phryk oh, so you are not planning on making it a full-blown integrated semi-trailer?

@Wolf480pl No – besides the sheer cost of a low-bed they need special brakes and shock absorbers and AFAIK those are pretty maintenance-intensive.

I'd have to be aware of shitloads more legal tripping hazards and it'd blow up the complexity.
