All the frills and shimmer, this little flower is an alpine, Soldanella 'Spring Symphony', also known as an alpine snowbell. It doesn't mind the cold, and it's been in the ground less than a year and is giving a sterling display already!

alc/liqueur making 

Keeping it simple this spring, and I picked just enough dandelions to do a pint of dandelion liqueur. Base is vodka, it will be sweetened with local honey once the plant material stage is past.

I was just reminded how much I loved the early 90’s shareware scene. Going to computer fairs and tracking down the vendor who had the luxury of both an internet connection and a CD burner, and picking up a disc of hundreds of demo games was the best thing ever.

My favorite DOS game is [insert your opinion here].

More lunch hour painting practice. This time I tried to focus on negative space and leave most of the waterfall unpainted. The end result is kind of patchwork-y, but I think I like it.

I assumed that if GPT-3 generated pickup lines, they would be terrible because they would be something like human pickup lines. Instead, they are terrible for more delightful reasons.

I feel I need something cozy-snuggly... pls send pics of your kittehs :)

We adopted a new fluffer. He's so huge and adorable and playful. He keeps trying to play with the cats and they are like "efffff no!"

Another lunch hour painting. Kind of overworked and muddy in places, but that’s all the more reason to keep practicing!
