Snapped my rear derailleur hanger. A microfiber cloth flew out of my top bag and went right into my derailleur. My chain tool is missing the pin so I can't shorten the chain. Walking home. #cycling #bikeeveryday #bike

@pla1 damn! at least you seem to be unhurt (I guess that was scary though).
Its something I'd never even have dreamed of being a hazard, and I routinely carry microfibre cloths in my panniers (for cleaning screens and other equipment at work).
So from now on I will make sure that can't happen (I have a bag I can put them in..)
@vfrmedia I usually store my microfiber cloth in a sandwich bag but today I didn't have it in there. Lesson learned.

@federicomena I am fine. I did not come off the bike. The rear derailleur hanger and cable needs to be replaced. Hopefully that is all. Thanks.
