I know there are people here who already have crypto in one form or another but please consider the ethical implications of keeping it:

You're spending egregious amounts of carbon energy

You're charging whoever is converting the money for you a disproportionate rate to turn it to cash

You're supporting a business that is harboring literal child molesters

In any case, I personally think meddling with crypto is worse than selling out your craft, and I mean that in the sense of writing anti millennial slop and working for Breitbart sell out

@sixohsix So let me put it straight. Brock Pierce is a board member in the Bitcoin Foundation. He is literally a key figure in bitcoin. Any form of involvement you have in bitcoin directly benefits him

But also like we should think about who we're supporting if we own any USD. A white supremacist president and a racist system. But would you tell poor Americans to burn their money or divest from any opportunities to grow it because of who benefits indirectly in its growth?

@sixohsix LOL it's not comparable at all though. I am not going to bother explaining this one, save to point out just how much smaller a marketplace bitcoin is. You figure it out
