I personally buy phones that are compatibile with custom ROMs, I flash + root it and works fine for 3-5 years. I don't replace them unless the battery is worn out or physically damaged. Usually 138 - 200 dollar phones ( ₹10-15k) and I would rather spend on 'actual computers' and SSDs than phones.

It's amusing how people (here) buy thousand dollar phones, airpods & don't even own a laptop.
