#steemit added around 5000 users in the last week. Not quite to Mastodon levels of growth, but then they are being manually checked due to abuse. One financial vlogger has gained 1000 followers and made over $2000 in his first week! They need a few more 'rock stars' to get the word out.
Was it the Wired article that made Mastodon take off? Steemit could do with similar coverage. It's open source and uses blockchain, so should count as 'cool'

Basically merkel doing the same as trump when it comes to comunication with the public. Merkel says nothing at all and trump is saying everything and the opposite. Both are wrong and true at the same time.
The press dont get it and still try to make sense out of it.
