Are there viable alternatives to thingiverse nowadays? I'm continually surprised that it remains the most popular place to share STLs

@cb Hey! I understand that you're the developer of but I also see from your timeline that maybe your locally hosted git is down. If you're interested in having contributors to the project let me know – I'm really interested in audio sharing on the and would love to help out

More M8 stuff, this time using only synths engines (no samples): macrosynth for the vowel-like bass, hihats and theme, and wavesynth for the lo-fi percussions.

It's a real #RandomLoop this time, not a track.

The M8 is a ton of fun. Really easy to get something going with it in no time. I'd say it's a great combo between powerful but focus synths types and a really direct user interface in a #Tracker package. Only 8 keys for input, with easy-to-discover combos.

The vowel (oy) sound is produced the “classic way” by combining a resonant digital low-pass filter with sample rate reduction (downsampling).

It took me about 30 min to figure out how to get the mouseless/vimlike navigation that I've needed to be able to replicate to really make vscode more usable, so I think I've got a pretty good chance of sticking around this time. media0.giphy.com/media/J1cXYXS

I’m finally giving a proper shot again. We’ll see if it can get me off this time. So far I’m impressed with how far the keybinding stuff has come, as well as some of the nice features in the main viscose-vim extension.

TIL YouTube uses to embed the YT player - pretty interesting. Anyone know of other big sites actually using web components these days?

btw he also put together a short game on itch that uses all the music, haven’t played it yet but looking forward to it 😀 everydaylouie.itch.io/windsor-

Seeing all this kerfuffle about the official app makes me wonder how folks feel about native apps vs PWAs at this point. I primarily use fediverse apps as PWAs that I save to my Home Screen. It’s nice because the devs don’t have to bow to whatever arbitrary criteria the big app stores want to impose. It’s interesting to see some big apps launch as PWAs on iOS lately (I’m thinking notably of Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud gaming app)
