Is it ok to block people on here because their avatar is migraine trigger-y?
@ishiku Thanks, I might. I tend to be pretty wary of approaching people about stuff like that though. Most people get really hostile when you bring up stuff like that, ime.
It might be different here on mastodon though. People seem really friendly 😄
@potatoshoe well, if they are hostile then I guess you've got another reason to block 'em
@potatoshoe it's okay to block people for any reason, also if this is about animated avatars, turning off gif-autoplaying in the settings will keep those from animating also
@noiob I tried that it didn't seem to work? Thanks for the advice though, I hadn't thought of it before you mentioned it 😄
@potatoshoe Your blocklist is yours, block for any reason including no reason.
@potatoshoe Have you tried letting the user know? Maybe they're not even aware it could be causing trouble for other users
