As part our commitment to open source, today we are announcing the release of GopenPGP, an open source golang encryption library. This library powers all our apps and has been audited for security by @sec_consult. protonmail.com/blog/openpgp-go

@amdg2 @protonmail because our dev was looking for a solution to replace a dying/unmaintained perl package. I had to change my gpg key because it was too fat (too many signatures). look at github.com/mozilla-bteam/bmo

@usul @protonmail I don't see any mention of GopenPGP. I can find OpenPGP only 🤔

@protonmail I know that is an usual question, but will the mobile application ever be open-source ? Will it be some day possible to use it without Google Play Services ?

@Mamie Yes, this is coming. Thank you for your patience.

@sgtbobbyshaftoe There are a few steps we must still make before open-sourcing the app. This is planned for the near future.

@Luigi_B Calendar is under active development right now, so we're definitely working on it. It is very challenging to build in a completely encrypted way, that is why it is taking longer. We will have more to share about this later this summer.
