@abentleywrites Is that something I should include in the guide? I figure that out right away, but was more confused by 🍍🍍🍍 and how instances and local and federated timelines worked
@qinaliu it might be worth a brief mention, since it wasn't obvious to me. I didn't realized it until I clicked on your toot. I'm using Amaroq on iPhone, so not sure if the experience is different on the web UI or other Mastodon apps.

@qinaliu Is it common for people to sign up on multiple instances in order to get a feel for the different communities, and people there?(I know about the bots after reading your article) It would be nice though if there was a way to access them without having to create separate accounts!
@stochastix I'm not sure how many people sign up for multiple instances, but if you know someone else's handle, you can find/contact them no matter what instance you're on (and even if they're on different instances). Your local & federated timelines will look different depending on what instance you're in though
