Normalize quitting things. It could be school, work, relationships, hobbies, or pretty much anything.
Quitting is often thought of as inherently negative; nobody wants to be called a "quitter". But there are plenty of situations where not only is it reasonable, it's the *best* course of action.
You can drop out college or switch majors when you don't care about the thing you're studying. You can end a relationship when it becomes toxic. You can stop playing a game that you don't enjoy.
I got a watch, and it's great.
I haven't worn a watch since phones were a thing. When I stopped wearing a watch, I could pull out my phone and glance at the screen and put my phone away again. Now to do the same thing I have to wipe my hands off, tease my phone out of my pocket being careful not to get it or my jeans completely filthy, turn it on, and get distracted by a million notifications because my phone is a distraction machine.
$20 to avoid all that sounds like a great deal to me.

Hey everyone, please can you help me with this petition? We are asking the Italian government for professional and university e-books for disabled people. As a disabled person I’d like to continue my studies without carrying heavy paper books with me. But some people cannot even leaf through the pages, so e-books are the only way they can study. Please sign this petition!

today BIPOC, queer, trans, and disabled comrades were on the front lines. like literally parked their chairs in front of the black bloc to the point the police tried to arrest them in order to get better access to arresting others. the man on the left was arrested. the bravery shown literally brought me to tears and has me reflecting on what it even means to hold the line
On wheels, with grit and nice verve.
