The place on the corner shut, after so many years. For Sale, it said. I saw the owner, having a coffee, maybe with friends. The next day, the sign was gone.
Now it's up again, crumpled.

@dogtrax I only know the facts I describe in the story, but my assumption was of a deal that went sour.
When I saw the sign disappear, my thoughts were "ah, he probably sold it to those guys, they weren't friends after all..."
The fact that you can almost put your finger on what happened based on these three images, but then, not really, is what fascinated me about this incident.
The sign is down again. What will the future hold?

@qwazix So, either a quick sale and turn-around happened, or the friend with him the owner had coffee made a convincing argument (stay open) that didn't last for more than a day (time to close)
