Ok, here we go! #introductions

I'm just a regular 22-year-old (probably) human person. I've been told I'm too shy and quiet, so this is me making an effort to be social.

Biology is my passion, and lately I've been dabbling in #bioinformatics which, in my very biased opinion, is a lot of fun.
In my free time I enjoy drawing digitally (I made my avatar!), but I still have a lot to learn about #art.
Also, I have a deep love of science fiction, particularly #startrek (come talk to me about it!).

I will be going to my first hackathon very soon! I think it'll be fun :D

It's a Xenodermus javanicus, aka "dragon snake". It's a rare species and not much is known about it. Apparently when they perceive a threat they straighten themselves into a line and no one knows why.

The International Rice Research Institute is seeking to grow the rice in developing countries to address severe vitamin A deficiency that can lead to blindness and other health issues.
