Does anyone know any #linux #distro that is in need of #mirroring ?
I do mirror the popular ones already at but I am looking into helping out smaller #distros that does not have the money or capacity to spend on bandwith.

The multi-tenant web is the Big Tech web is the surveillance capitalism web. You’re not going to win at their game.

The single tenant web is the Small Web. Want to help reshape the topology of communication (and thus politics) in the 21st century? Look there.

Site.js is a tool for developers to build the small web.

Here’s a sneak peek at the next version of the Site.js web site. It’s running with Site.js on my laptop and exposed via ngrok so might not be up for long:

Hi everyone, I'm off the grind, and that also means I'm off the dole. I'm running out of money, and I'm looking for a job.

If anyone needs a sysadmin with 6 years of professional and 18 years of hobbyist experience, please send me a DM.

My toolset includes (but is not limited to) the following:

- Nginx
- Caddy
- MySQL / MariaDB
- Proxmox VE
- OpenVPN
- BIND (named)
- PowerDNS
- Postfix
- Exim4
- Dovecot
- 3proxy
- HAproxy
- Quagga/Bird (limited, but still)
- Apache
- ejabberd
- Nagios (nrpe, nsca)
- IPtables
- Logrotate
- systemd
- Nextcloud

I'm open to learning new stuff.

Please repost if nothing else!

Ditto, Brave: they may not see what you’re browsing but they make money by allowing insight of your behaviour to be used to manipulate you.

Privacy exists to protect the weak from manipulation by the powerful. Manipulation by proxy is still manipulation.

Well it took over a year but we managed to get Google Fonts removed from the Mozilla Rust project. Thanks to everyone who helped out and supported this.

Devs don’t let devs add surveillance to their tools.

The other day I built a simple Pomodoro app in Python with voice (works on macOS only with pyttsx3). Any ideas for improvement of the approach are welcome! It has been a nice pet project.

20.04 looks really polished and nice. The upgrade went smoothly as always. Looking forward to seeing how it performs in comparison to 19.10.

Surprise! We can't have a shiny new GNOME release without a shiny new release video!

Special thanks to Chris Rogers, @o0karen0o and @freehive for their hard work.

Congratulations to Debian on their exciting new Debian 10 "buster" release! Go get it while it's hot and enjoy some GNOME 3.30 goodness 👍

Meanwhile, the EU has voted to kill the Internet as we know it and possibly aid in creating an even bigger surveillance machine in the process.

Civil disobedience is the way forward on this one. We redouble our efforts to create decentralised alternatives and if they’re deemed illegal by this myopic legislation, so be it. Fuck ’em. We go to jail if we need to.

If you had any illusions that the battle for personhood and human rights would be easier in our age, think again.

*Linux Laptop Wiki [Rebooted]*

The aim of the website is to provide a central wiki to post experiences with Linux on the model of laptop / notebook you're using. is an attempt to 'reboot' the abandoned and spammed linlap dot com which is now unusable.

Please consider participating on building a new "HQ" sending in your model / experiences!

Any help appreciated!

4.16+ and 4th Generation CPUs = weird high pitch noise. Anyone having the same issues? I am with a ThinkPad T440P. Kernel 4.15 is just fine.

Protonmail's Bridge for Linux (current version 1.0.5) is getting better -- more responsive and reliable. Looking forward to the final version.

Алтруизмът и емпатията са това, което ни държи заедно като общество. Нито произхода, нито историите за велико минало или светло бъдеще. Загрижеността за останалите от групата е това, което създава усещането за човечност.

Reclaiming RSS

“Before Twitter, before algorithmic timelines filtered our reality for us, before surveillance capitalism, there was RSS: Really Simple Syndication … As we move away from the centralised web to the peer web, it’s time to rediscover, re-embrace, and reclaim RSS.”
