The other day my friend drove to another friend's home and he tried to park in the drive way blocking the sidewalk.

I told him he shouldn't.

He questioned why he shouldn't.

All I said was "because wheelchairs."

He immediately said "Yup. Fair point." and parked his car down the street.

No defensiveness. Just agreement and acknowledgement that he wasn't thinking

It was so nice. So refreshing.

- you love them too much
- you like them but don't like what they say all the time
- they don't like 🍍
- literally any reason it doesn't matter blocking is great

@Gargron @mmn what about using markdown for formatting?

@gargron I know this wasn't directed to me, but I'd say `\n\n` should be a paragraph and `\n` should be a line break... Like Markdown but smarter because you don't need extra spaces to force a line break.

Question:

If so many men argue that the assholes are the minority, (NOT ALL MEN!!!) why do we never see giant groups of men flooding women's accounts with nice, respectful messages or support?

Why doesn't dogpiling get responded to by a flood of help? Where is the support for women being stalked and threatened? Where are y'all?

I have never in my life been overwhelmed by kindness. But men literally attempt (and often succeed) destroying my life on the daily.

Where are the "good guys"?

I just went around and did some basic nmap-ing on the most popular Mastodon instances, and there's some seriously sketchy stuff in there. Publicly reachable Postgres servers, tons of open internal HTTP ports, SSH with password login, multiple Mastodon instances that seem to be running on mail server VMs, …

I guess if you're just running a single-user instance for yourself, sure, but those are all 2000+ user instances.

I have ordinal linguistic personification, a type of synesthesia where my brain assigns the numbers 1 through 12 a gender and personality.
