Hm. The implication right now is that followers via Federated sites don't show up in the Followers total, which is a tiny bit unfortunate.
@demiurgent this is not the cse. on your own instance, your follower count is true; it most know which foreign accounts follow you so it can send your posts to those servers
@rosa Well, I have confirmed followers from other instances but my follower count only seems to show the local follower I've gained. Admittedly, there may be sync delay. I don't know.
