“Heaven’s In Here (Live on Arsenio Hall 1991) by #TinMachine
NOTE: Not only does #DavidBowie and his massive noise-blues-punk project totally slay on this TV appearance, but we also get to see David Bowie’s bare torso! Really.

@rthornton777 @johnshirley2024@wandering.shop @clintruin @bitterkarella @chopps I do like me some Tin Machine. I got to meet Reeves Gabrels a few times in the 90s when he also played in a completely batshit outfit called the Bentmen.

Reeves Gabrels is totally great. He actually has two signature guitars with Reverend! This is my favorite one:

Love it! For some reason I'd never seen live footage of Tin Machine until now. Pure joy!
@bodhipaksa @johnshirley2024@wandering.shop @clintruin @KateOfMind @bitterkarella @chopps Tin Machine was totally underrated at the time—too close to SY and Iggy Pop and not enough Bowie for critics and his fans. In the end, Gabrels was just too “out there” at a time when even hipsters were just getting into “out.”
@rthornton777 @bodhipaksa @johnshirley2024@wandering.shop @clintruin @bitterkarella @chopps People who haven't witnessed the Bentmen don't know how out there he truly is.
@KateOfMind @bodhipaksa @johnshirley2024@wandering.shop @clintruin @bitterkarella @chopps Merci beaucoups! I definitely will track them down.
