#introduction cont'd
I adore my #cat Lola, parlez un peu de #français , and am looking to have a #kid soon. #PokemonGo was my first #Pokemon game, and I love it still. I type with #Colemak and recently overcame #ChronicPain in my foot with a combination of PT and #MMJ . I love #JapaneseFood and sobbed through the whole last episode of #Evangelion because I needed to hear its message that it's okay to like yourself. My favorite music is college radio, #KXLU or #KXUA , and I am a #Maximizer AMA.
@fullywoolly yes, I watched the original TV run first, then watched End of Eva. Haven't seen the newer movies yet.
@rubah how was End of Eva? Should I seek out new additions to the franchise?
What is a maximizer?
@fullywoolly I preferred the TV ending mostly for personal reasons, but end of Eva wrapped up the show's plotline a lot better. It was really hard to watch at parts, and it got pretty Dalíesque at times. I don't know anything about the new movies except they use the "we" kana for writing the name in Japanese, so it kinda looks like Webangelion xD
@rubah Webangelion. That is funny! Maybe I'll see if my local library has copies. I don't really feel like buying them at this point. I bought the DVD collector edition when it came out in like 2001 or 2002 or whatever it was.
@fullywoolly maximizer is a personality archetype from doing Strengths Finder several years ago while applying for a job. The idea is someone who enhances existing talents in other people, "maximizes" those. Kinda cheesy, but I see it as making mutually beneficial connections between people that will help them both out, or passing along knowledge where it would be more efficient. It sounds kinda obvious, but my mind basically probes and evaluates possible connections all the time
@rubah that is pretty cool. I hadn't heard of that before.
@rubah pogo was also my first Pokemon game. I still play but don't go out of my way any more. I think the quests were a good feature.
Did you watch the original NGE? A lot of people criticized the original because it was published as the studio was going bankrupt if I remember correctly. I thought it was an interesting perspective on a reality defining moment. The series itself was mind blowing at the time, but hard for me to watch now.
I agree that it is ok to love and accept ourselves.
