Australian slang question:
When I was a kid (can't remember if this was primary or secondary school) we used to use 'tax' instead of 'steal'. As in, 'did you tax that?', 'he taxed that jacket from the salvos', etc.
Wondering if that was just a my-area thing. Seems way to political for a bunch of kids to invent, so I assume not?
