I was bummed out when years ago Google dumbed down their search and made it harder to be very explicit in what is being searched for - but I can understand most people are not as specific as I am.

However, not allowing me to search for exactly the phrase I want spelled exactly the way I want is just fscking dumb.

@rysiek I just put everything in quotes nowadays.

@rysiek Given that we, as a species and industry, are technically capable of making effective, working, search technology, I am left to assume they have a business reason not to do so. Whatever that reason is, it is not to the benefit of the victim-users of the software.

@rysiek I'm all for a simplified default experience, but I miss when designers offered a straightforward path to the advanced features instead of completely hiding/disabling them
