After `git commit` in spacemacs shell I've end up with vim which I can't escape from (as spacemacs has same key bindings...). Halp pls.

@teqwve of course EDITOR should be set to "ed" @ed1conf

@saper Well, thanks for ideas, but I've already switched back to vim :) (emacs seemed way too slow).

@teqwve for me, even vim is too slow, that is why I am using vi/nvi

@saper Probably I've been using too many plugins, and spacemacs had a visible lag, it was really annoying.
Marcin Cieślak @saper

@teqwve welcome to

I try to convert myself to but it does not fit my style, and I want to become master :/

@saper In spacemacs I really liked the idea of using space as prefix key, and the look of shortcuts hints.

In original emacs I usually end up with evil mode anyway (i can't live without it ;_;) so I guess spacemacs is just as good. I must admit that emacs has way better plugins ecosystem then vim (not to mention that anything, even lisp, is better than vimscript).
@saper Aaaand I'm back to spacemacs (at least at home / for some languages). Switching editors is almost as fun as reinstalling OS.
@saper This time on developer branch and with reasonable amount of plugins :)

@teqwve yeah dev branch has more stuff including a (sadly) primitive layer
