@thatwronglove you know pathetically, I think a big part of it is the dark grey interface. And very few of my regular professional/social contacts frequent here anymore.
so to me it's just a lot of anime memes and people talking about mastodon infrastructure, which, I guess is pretty soothing.
but is it engaging? or you just don't care and hang on the timeline

@saper @lolkat i think the mentality is whats engaging. like, twitter is way more confrontational. this is more like idk, exploratory
