I don't think anything about Mastodon a deal-breaker right now, it's just not totally convenient and I think has to evolve. Interested in watching where it goes
@sarahjeong Exactly why I'm here. It's fascinating to watch.
@sarahjeong What part do you find most inconvenient? The small user base?
@sarahjeong it's sort of like irc but more people and more private messages
@sarahjeong what are some things you find inconvenient?
@sarahjeong Same thing that's a dealbreaker on most new social networks, that there just aren't very many people here compard to the established ones.
But hey, it being nice and quiet is pleasant too.
Same. When I joined I assumed I'd delete if it didn't reach a tipping point within a week or two, as I did with Ello. But I think I'll leave my account up and check in periodically and give it a chance to grow, while I continue to interact mainly on Twitter. @sarahjeong
@sarahjeong The main thing for me is that conversation, stars, etc. are really laggy. Fr'instance, there are no replies to your toot above as far as my local instance is concerned, but clicking through I can see 10 or so.
@sarahjeong This is why I am happy to be here now — whether it grows into something great or crashes and burns, the ride itself should be worth the while. 😃
