Anyone have any idea why Lodash is back in the news?
I thought it was basically dead after the changes to ES6 (basically, the whole ES6 seems to provide most of Lodash functions, or so I thought), but I'm seeing it show up a lot more recently...
Some people do nicer #sketchnotes than I do so I bought some stencils.
I was interested in understanding how the process of editing worked. To me, his editor seemed fair and kind and provided sources to help him reach a deeper understanding of the things he was writing about.
Omg someone who lives down the road from me has that famous nativity scene whose silhouette looks like two Tyrannosauruses yelling at each other
I should get a gold star for civic participation. I went to a forum on the superintendent candidate search for my school district today. The parents of the dyslexic children showed up and had facts.
Has anyone else seen what generally seems like white people concern-trolling all sorts of things when it comes to poverty?
There was someone the other day saying that it was an upper class thing to do to take off shoes when going into the house in certain cultures when the tradition of taking off shoes is fairly old in the cultures that it exists in.
This came up in the context of the VP of #Iran not taking off his shoes when he went to visit an earthquake victim inside a tent.

I am at least half way done with this doll head. I hope I don't run out of yarn. #amigurumi https://mastodon.social/media/EVnj46MH9gzTbyk-NeM
Artist: So, uh, I've got this sketch of a demon at a synthesizer keyboard for the heavy metal slash new wave band I never quite got together
Writer: Excellent, just stick it on a dot matrix printer and add a paper trail streaming out from Earth like it's a rocket
Artist: I dunno man, I mean this is computer hardware you're selling not LSD
Writer: It's the 80s, same thing
The future of the web has got to be about taking ownership of our online spaces back.
No, not all places are awful of course, but ones that exploit our experience rather than supplement it have to be starved of the resource they need to survive.
And that resource is you. And how do we do that? By reclaiming our online personas and content instead of just giving it way because it's easier and/or popular.
The clouds were so interesting tonight.

Today, I did three of the four inversions that I needed to do in the air for my aerial silks class. I feel like I have accomplished something beyond just chafing skin on various parts of my body.
I am trying to put together my Women of Nasa Lego set. They have beautiful hair. My child removed the hair and decided that the women were going to try transhumanism. I am slowly reclaiming them for humanity.
I miss old school blogging where people didn't have to lie so much to seem authentic.
"I am large, I contain multitudes."
I am not sure I am on the right instance or following the right people. People seem to care more about art and fandom and less about #tech than I do.
I'm still trying to find my way around mastodon, I don't know what an instance is yet. I'll find out after i stop laughing at the word toot.
I felt like I could not write anything here without a proper avatar. Does this work?
