Mastodon has a verification mechanism, though it looks different from Twitter's. We do not ask for your documents. Instead, if you have a website that you are known by, you can verify that you are the owner of that website.

Link to your Mastodon profile from the website, either through a visible link, or through a <link> tag in the head of the document, with a rel=me attribute, and link back to that page from your Mastodon profile. It should then get a green checkmark, like @Mastodon.

As promised..another #mushroom!
This one looked awesome and I nearly missed it, since its diameter was only 3-4 cm and it blended well into the forest ground.

Since some people asked about the making of these macros, I added one of the photos that shows just how small the focus area is. I needed f2.8 here to blur out the background so I needed ~25 pics stacked together for the final result. The magnification is 1:1.

People of #mastodon, whats your preferred operating system?

I feel the best way immutable #Linux operating systems like (the excellent) #Fedora #Silverblue can get over the remaining usability issues is if they make a conscious decision to forget that they are immutable operating systems.

What are the defaults you would implement if you weren’t allowed to tell people it was immutable?

Implement those.

(e.g., Have the default terminal open in a mutable container & a separate command to launch an advanced “admin” console for layering, etc.)
