Oh, and if you still have the old version installed, you have to enable "include incompatible versions" in fdroid settings.

Incompatible versions makes it show up. But it also wants me to remove the app, but I can't get the export data to work sadly enough

Apparently I can export the data, no problems. Have you given the app storage permission? It is asked when uploading an image for instance.
