This argument that we’re overreacting to MAGAs and trump is so mind numbingly stupid, I want to punch anyone advancing it. There is no way to watch this unprecedented Christo fascism seizing all of norms and governance, even the rule of law itself, and not see that democracy is in dire and immediate peril.
@shoq @dangillmor after January 6th the testimony that clearly shows he wasn’t planning on leaving the White House, all the crimes, the threats, the unleashing of violence, the loss of rights people thought were permanent and oh yeah, overreacting? F these people. This is not just to protect this country, also to protect from the world from this madman.

The quote I adapted and use very often is based on JFK’s famous speech:
“Ask not who the shithole countries are. Ask why your country is a shithole country.”
The original literally should read as:
“Ask not what those in power can do for you. Ask what you can do for those in power.”
It’s NEVER been a bastion of freedom and equality. But it’s also never been quite the absolute shithole it is now.

@shoq I cannot begin to describe my loathing of the liberal need to minimize anything unpleasant. It’s maddening. Anything that isn’t comfortable has to be ignored. That’s no way to live. See a Nazi, shoot a Nazi, that’s how the world is *supposed* to work, and how it once *did* work.
