Parenting means that I have to be thoughtful, empathetic, constructive, and considerate of long-term goals *all the fucking time* and it is exhausting.

@sigridellis Everyone talks about how rough those first few months are, but honestly, I find attempting to be a thoughtful and decent parent to an older child much, much harder than any aspect of having an infant was, and no one talks about it.
