"The works of William Gibson, games like Deus Ex were the building blocks that create the world of Neofeud... A dystopian cyberpunk adventure that needs to be experienced." --Hyper Light Up

"We've noticed you haven't been shopping much through official Ubicorp store these past few weeks. This can adversely affect your social credit rating, and potentially flag you as a tax dodger, someone engaging in blackmarket criminal activity, or terrorist. We noticed your child has lead poisoning and legionaries from the drinking water. We highly recommend participating in this Weekend Blowout sale buy purchasing a $20,000 FiltraMax with an unforgivable 30% interest Ubicorp Loan!"

The (un)lucky follower of William Gibson on the Silver Spook Podcast is Jordi de Paco, creator of The Red Strings Club, an opalescent gem of a cyberpunk adventure game dissecting a near future of mass-social manipulation by digital means.

"A Misguided Idiot's Quest For Immortality"

Fuck capitalism first, worry about this immortality bullshit later, kthx bro.

@c1t7 @thegibson @Tlacaelel IMHO the only heartening bit out of SV for me is that the Google Employees protested Google's military contract to design pattern-rec tech for targeting individuals with drones. Once fully-autonomous soldiers, drones with license to kill are online, and America is 80% uberized UBIpoverty, we are done. Everyone needs to find their inner cyberpunk, like, right now, and fight this, however they can.

Another Neofeudal post-capitalism shithole future marker:

"Survival Of The Richest" - billionaires are planning to leave everyone behind using tech, before they get eaten.

"How Silicon Valley Fuels An Informal Caste System"

Yep, sounds a lot like Neofeud! (Sadly, but unsurprisingly)

wired.com/story/how-silicon-va

The Mastodon retoot/like sound eerily resembles my digestive system moving. I'm being psychologically edged by my gastronomy.

Sounds like an arthouse thing written by Burroughs and filmed by Cronenberg tbh. (I want 20% and options, if it happens)

Don't hate capitalism, cause you gonna eat rats, man. LOL I'm gonna use that to end all arguments.

"Sir, that's 19.99, comes out to 24.15 with tax-"

"I don't pay tax. I don't wanna eat rats."

-Neofeud 2 excerpt-

"Ok, but Skrybercrunk Prequel when?" (hyperventilating hype-a-zoid emoji)

ReddyPlyrZerocool TMI'd with a shirtless Professor Who GIF into Comrade Stella's personal bubble, burying xer Chinese remake of a North Korean soap opera called 'Love Prison' under dad-bod nipples.

"Really, Reddy?" Stella huffed. No content warning; it was SO Reddy.

Stella shooed the raucus looping softporn from xer Cartesian Theater with the wave of a polyethelene tentacle.

anytime rich people are in the news for doing rich things (like the golf twitter moment right now)

they should be punished for the fact that poverty, food insecurity, homelessness, etc even EXIST

punish them

I take issue with this, "Cyberpunk has no radical politics" bullshit because my life's work has been essentially a prolonged literary and game-ified *radical* assault on what I view as a capitalist-soon-to-be-neofeudal system that is going to kill most of us, and torture the survivors for years, and their children. Cyberpunk is THE ONLY genre that spoke to me as a poor non-white kid going to a mostly-white school, and living in a US slum. It is the ONLY GENRE where I saw CLASS Representation.

Cyberpunk has no radical politics? What?

Neuromancer wasn't saying anything about the neoliberal capitalism and Reaganomics? Was Brave New World condoning consumerism? Is 1984 pro-Stasi? Is Handmaid's Tale anti-women? I dunno, man.
