I find it strange that people think just having a gun mean you can take down a gun man. It is like hearing a middle school kid say they would just tackle a gun man before they would get shoot.

I keep hearing that programming is either easy or hard. I keep hearing anyone can learn to code or you need to be born with a talent for programming.
Set the record straight programming is a craft. It takes time and dedication to achieve just something half decent. Any one can become a programmer just like any one can become a wood worker or athlete.
If you want to become a programmer all it takes is time, dedication, patience, and discipline.

Yesterday I learned that Games Done Quick use open source software for their broadcast graphics. The person responsible for developing the layouts and some of the software involved has done a video series on their GDQ layouts system, and GDQ open sources their broadcast layouts each year.
