Two old men, side by side,
Caps, scarves, billowing coats,
Watch the field before them.

The field has nothing but grass,
And the odd flower, but the men
Seem mesmerized, as if

By Sheherazade herself.

Then they shake their heads and
With a careful but sure foot they go,
Leaving the field as it was.
