I wanted to make a business card holder but I didn't like any of the available molds, so I rigged this one up out of kiln posts. I was worried that they'd get stuck inside the glass, but it worked like a charm!

A sort piece of glass shaped sort of like a cross with a very wide middle section and teeny tiny arms sits on top of kiln paper, on top of a stack of small kiln posts. This sets in an open kiln, waiting to be fused.
In the background sits the kiln post apparatus, paper knocked askew. The glass has slumped down into a neat little box with three sides the same length, and the back taller. The back is an irregular webbing made of opaline glass (what I've been calling glass amoebas), and the front is a black iridized herringbone.
