Little-known fact: This was the inspiration for Joaquin Phoenix' Joker's well-known stair dance scene.

The Greek government recognized that people can't take the 5-month lockdown any more and issued relief measures: We can now finally go fishing on a boat if we own it!

That's sure to make everyone happy.

Damn, I got COVID. I was really hoping to make it to vaccination, but I guess with the glacial rates the EU is vaccinating, that's going to take a looong while still.

So I thought that webpages were just slow because I'm far away from the US or wherever all the servers are (even though I have 200 Mbit fiber), until I got a new Ryzen.

Turns out it was the CPU.

I think the pandemic would have gone quite a bit better if the rapid COVID test's results were labeled "positive" and "we don't know".

Currently too many people get a negative result and think "oh cool, I don't have COVID" and infect a bunch more people.

Things I don't understand:

"This solution is much better than the alternative, but it's not perfect, so we'll go with the alternative."

Yes, *maybe* 0.0008% of people are dying from clots from the vaccine (they aren't), but 1% are *definitely* dying of COVID without it!

Things I cannot believe:

How sure people are that actions they know nothing about are wrong.

"I don't know anything about why they made this decision but doing the opposite has obvious benefits, so they're idiots".

No, there are just factors you don't know about.

Things I cannot believe:

People thinking that the common cold is something you get when you're physically cold, without any transmission from others.

"Oh it's not COVID, he was probably just out and caught a cold."

My sister just told me that sometimes, when she's hungry, she can't decide on what to eat, and just doesn't eat anything. I guess whoever meant Buridan's ass as a paradox didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

Instead of fixing police brutality and impunity, @PrimeministerGR@twitter.com blames @syriza_gr@twitter.com that they're fomenting violent protests, and @syriza_gr@twitter.com counters that the government is trying to cover up their COVID failures.

Way to lose sight of the problem, guys!

Fuck this country.

Επίσης αυτοί γιατί πάνε σε δίκη για απόπειρα ανθρωποκτονίας αλλά οι αστυνομικοί που έδειραν τον πολίτη είναι ένας για διακοπές μετ'αποδοχών και οι άλλοι συνεχίζουν δουλειά κανονικά;

The recent police brutality crisis in Greece also starkly illustrates how much the media are just government outlets.

We can finally see the contrast between unedited footage on social media and edited footage presented in all channels, with a clear pro-government slant.

The only reason I don't become a @coil@twitter.com subscriber right now is that there aren't enough sites that I can justify $5/mo (and I don't know where the unspent money goes).

I'd love a "prepay" option that would "spend as I go" to start with.
