RT @dandock@twitter.com: If a movie is adapted from a book, and I want to read that book, I will swim through hell to not have to buy the edition of the book with the cover that either features the actors from the movie, the movie's poster, or the phrase "NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE."

Just read that Clayne Crawford was fired from Lethal Weapon, so they're going to "kill off" the Martin Riggs character and bring in Seann William Scott to play some new character. WTF? Lethal Weapon isn't Lethal Weapon without Riggs & Murtaugh, and the show will not be the same without Clayne Crawford. I'm out.

Really want to go see The Sword at the Fillmore tonight, but man Iโ€™m tired.

Hi everyone! I've been hanging around Masto for about a year now, but thought I'd toss out another intro since there are so many moving here because of

I live in the Bay Area, I'm a brand new dad, and I love all things , , , , , , , , and all things .

Welcome to Mastodon!

Whenever I go to the grocery store there's inevitably one of two types in front of me at self-check: the person has just a few items but uses the machine with the speed of someone who's never seen one before, or some jackass with an overflowing cart. Every. Friggin'. Time.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we got our Apple TV 4K yesterday and it's a really nice device.

Heads up for anyone in the U.S. looking to cut the cable: DirecTV Now has a deal where if you prepay 3 months, even at their lowest tier, they'll send you, for free, a 32GB Apple TV 4K.

Here's the math...

3 mos of DTVN - $105
Apple TV 4K - $180

Even if you ditch DTVN at the end of the 3 months, this is still a complete no brainer.

Lupulin Advisory DIPA from Altamont Beer Works. Piney nose, fruity, bitter finish. This is nice.

Watching Hellraiser: Judgement, and only a few minutes in I'm disappointed. First problem: no Doug Bradley. I knew this before I even turned it on, but man, Pinhead just isn't Pinhead without Doug Bradley. Second problem: They're trying to squeeze in every classic Hellraiser buzzword and catchphrase they can in short order. It's not working. I have sadz.

Rumor had it Clive Barker was working on a new Hellraiser film with Bradley. I sure hope that's still in the pipeline.

So this is what the kids are eating these days. Ambitious.

Interesting read about FB as manipulation machine. Needles to say, this isn't a new finding... t.co/Q6wqflInN6

Last night home alone before my wife and daughter come home from the hospital, so I'm sipping a scotch ale and checking out the latest season of Top Gear. Right out of the gate I notice that Chris Harris is doing everything he can to channel Jeremy Clarkson. Dude, just be you.

I firmly believe religion is a crutch, but I'm totally onboard with a church that looks like a chicken.

Watched Pump Up The Volume for the first time last night. One of Christian Slater's best as far as I'm concerned, and it's got an excellent soundtrack. Not sure how I missed it, I'd only been out of high school for 4 years when it came out. Oh well, better late then never.
