Man this cryptocurrency stuff is tiring. I think I'm going to look at setting up a self hosted index tracking bot

Does anyone have any decent tutorials on writing smart contracts for ethereum? Books for Christmas reading would be ideal.
This is an E X T R E M E L Y good Twitter thread on the trials and tribulations of trying to turn Bitcoin into actual cash.
The author concludes that it would have been faster and easier to have just converted it all to drugs. Probably a better investment too, tbh.

The first part of my Christmas Tree Lights tutorial is up here: https://rawhex.com/blogs/news/a-very-hacky-christmas-tree-part-1 - these things are gorgeous, inexpensive and great fun to make!
Assembly: where the ‘e’ at the end of the instruction mnemonic ‘mov’ was an unaffordable luxury, but we now also have ‘vpunpcklqdq’ – this is a fucking mnemonic, isn’t its whole purpose to be memorable? I have to make up a meta mnemonic, like “vp unpack lick dick”, just to remember the mnemonic.
Disassemblers don’t do enough to make this shit readable. I don’t mean decompiling. Just like some more auto-generated code comments. Or tooltips that explain these SIMD instructions with pseudo code?
When you play so much just cause 3 that you can't stop thinking about grappling off everything you see.
