Had my first scary moment with an athlete as a telemark ski coach this morning. Poor kid under-spun a 360, landed on his side and hit his head. He's going to have some bruises on his torso and he'll be checked for a concussion. Took him several minutes to get back to his feet, he suffered whiplash as well. He was able to get himself off the mountain without assistance but he was in pain. Hope I see him again on Thursday, kids recover from injuries much faster than adults!
