I know it's a shock for a lot of people on here, but the reality is a lot of the people you admire are racists.
At some point, you're going to have to grapple with that reality if you want this community to grow.
@Are0h I was raised by people whose racism was within social norms for when and where *they* were raised. I'm sure I have some unexamined racist assumptions despite having much less racist attitudes than the previous generation.
It hurts when I get called out on my racist words, acts, and attitudes. Knowing I'll never be perfect is no excuse to not try to learn.

All it takes to be racist is being white. Because we can't possibly realise all the ways racism impacts other lives, because we were raised in a culture catering to us. This is why we white people should be vocal about it. If we're not fighting racism outwardly, we're just enforcing the status-quo. While not stealing your voices in the process. I'm still deconstructing my own internalised racism, and I'll probably be doing that for the rest of my life.
